Nearly thirty years since their three agreements were primitive and supersonic picked as an uppercut young dingo keupon I was. and the "One two three four" seminal throwing sonic infernal machine invariably gives me the Ramones always as eager to pogoter like an idiot at 44 and Counting ... haw haw: D strange way to start the year 2011 that tell you about a group founded here more than 35 years, there are separate battery hair 15 years and whose founders Dee Dee, Joey and Johnny all three are busy down beers at Paradise punk-rockers. Joey (real name Jeffrey Hyman), the singer remained less than it appeared, had been gobbled up by a bad crab in 2001. Dee Dee (Douglas Colvin), bassist and authentic thug, was found in all blue piquouze an arm in 2002 after yet another unsuccessful detox. Johnny (John Cummings), guitarist who played faster than his shadow, joined his two brothers in 2004, false, cancer remake ». Only survivor from the original, the fourth Ramone, Tommy, who banged his drums like a lumberjack left the group in 1978 (and is now pursuing a peaceful career as a producer of country music ... Bluegrass). A real black series which meant the end of an era No Future.
M ais that are therefore coming to these proto-punks loosers on this blog beautiful shaped "Chronicles of the Big Bang Digital". Not very connection with this second decade of the twenty-first century. More analog the Ramones? You die! No grip of cur, false brethren (including for the poorly-Ramone was a pseudo-surname;) are unlikely to reshape ... except in a bloody Romero zombie movie. And their music? Prehistoric. Limited technically unlikely foursome made this weakness a strength: reconnect with the primal rock origins in boosting the surf-garage and doo-wop of the sixties. Their songs were usually three Agreements stutterers played at the speed of light, guitar and bass omnipresent forming a wall of sound Phil Spector to cry (which threatened them with a weapon on a record). And the voice behind "gabba gabba hey" Oh Joey ... irresistible. The ensemble gave an irresistible urge to jump into the air, knocking her classmates and smiling like an idiot (for this young dance figure called a Pogo;).
THEY INVENTED THE WORD "PUNK"
U Ramones No good can be enjoyed on slab with vinyl dirty sound and crackle of vintage rigor. Forget this crap MP3 players totally apocryphal. They show only a musical saw and cold metal where the music should be gross, bathed in the juices of the time. Digital brief least the Ramones you die too! This group of proles Queens New York bottle of the Stooges Iggy Pop and The Beatles (yes) has just invented the word Punk ("Rascals") and the attitude not care about anything that goes with it. And the three founders albums released at a rate of gun: Ramones (1976), "Ramones Leave Home" (1977) and "Rocket to Russia" (1977). And a series of concerts at the famous club CBGB immémoriels where they were next to Patti Smith, Richard Hell and Voïvoids, and so on of the best. Without their furia New York no explosion Anarchy in the UK in London, not Sex Pistols or the Clash. And look how fucking ... both inimitable and imitated. Quite a legacy to fashion of the 2000s : skinny jeans with holes, converse sneakers rotten, black leather and cut the bowl in the eye. There are even today T-shirt with the eagle of the Ramones at H & M or Uniklo. Margin recovery underground mainstream ... it was a few royalties in addition to those old punk who never were fattened by millionaire rock business.
NOSTALGIA COLLEAGUE
The Ramones was the Flintstones head down playing the Fender with a club, greasy bangs in the eyes . Hay sampling and digitally remastered reissue that held with these four lunatics of the proto-digital era.

we all took the Punk-Rock Pistols and the Ramones as a whore Li-be-ra-tion . At that time, three TV channels that are fighting a duel (fortunately there was "The Children of Rock" by Philippe Manoeuvre preface that the book obviously Dee Dee), not yet radio free (luckily there was granted by Radio 7 Giscard wait to youth), and of course no internet, smartphones and social networks to unburden himself, rave and share with friends pimply. The phone really sets the coup, was under good parental care up there in the lobby. Then we would have # IRL every time one could listen to this incredible music. The "One, two, three, four" launched by Dee Dee was something that made you feel free and alive and made you want to blast off. Destroy really for once. Listen to this:
VICTOR HUGO PUNK
Q ual slap is not it? But back to the book by Dee Dee : "One of the three best books of all time rock ' Assen preface rigor Philippe Manoeuvre. And most translated by Virginia "Baise Moi" Despentes, the only pen made in France capable of reproducing the rage and obscenity of a life of Ramone. A book will shape out in 2001 just before the ultimate bad trip of the author (and in France in 2003 Vauvert the Devil) who returns to his sincerity and poetry of the street at the brand new beautiful "Just Kids" by Patti Smith ... um Rimbaud and less. Though. Dee Dee's book also begins at the famous Chelsea Hotel, "I could get wasted in this hotel, and today I'm here to win" , writes Ramone. And dispatch, philosopher, this final sentence if he felt like the grim reaper come: "If ever there is any logic in this life, then I would very much like to know." Dee Dee and Connie in 1976 |
But that's what says Philippe Labourer :
"A superb effort from Victor Hugo of Jules Vallès Punk (...) connected 220 volts (...) a book like his rock: pickled boneless Drit purpose, a fifteen-word sentences as short as definitive, no way to catch its breath before the conclusion of nasty little chapter, everything is restored Live, slaps, lines, shots, brands of amps and accidents jalopy ... a life "It gives fucking want to read is not it? Dee Dee was a thief, an addict, a fighter able to redecorate your apartment to the tune of fighting for a wrong word. But it was also a beautiful face and a nice guy . Behind his bass he was also the composer of the main tubes of the Ramones, a bit overshadowed by the voice of the nearsighted giant toothless Joey. That in her memory "I want to be a good boy" . He has tried his whole life ... without success
The Ramones do you think of cartoon characters? Bingo. That bonus appeared in an episode of "Simpsons" . More morons than life in a reprise of "Happy Birthday":
And second bonus, I can not resist the pleasure to offer you this tribute to the former Pixies Frank Black: "I Heard Ramona Sing" ... A song in which he explains the Ramones changed her life, "I Heard Ramona Sing, and I Heard Everything, The Speed they're traveling ..." :
That good people was a fragment of history Ramones a new era Reminescence analog I wanted to share with you to make a bridge between yesterday and today. A moment of pure sound and fury as they do not make earlier standard of music marketing and dematerialization of rock and its stardust past . As written by Philippe Manoeuvre, the music industry, which has never so aptly named, can rest easy on his laurels faded :
"Do not worry: in rock of the third millennium, we will not see too many thugs like this gentleman Dee Dee Ramone ".Belle No Future epitaph that I make my own conclusion to this post. On his tombstone, Dee Dee was more sober: "OK ... I got to go now" (thank you at unbeatable Ulrich this fall even more rock'n roll).
Jean-Christophe Féraud
